In the line of cultural tradition of cathedrals as centers of the arts, the Madeleine Festival provides engaging performances of extraordinary caliber, free of charge to the community. Founded in 1988 by Monsignor M. Francis Mannion, the Festival has presented throughout its thirty-five years of activity an incredible array of arts and humanities events — encompassing music, visual arts, dance and literature — often in partnership with major Salt Lake City arts institutions, without burdening the audience with a ticket cost.
