Utah Chamber Artists was established in 1991 by Barlow Bradford and James Lee Sorenson. The ensemble is comprised of fifty singers and forty orchestral members who, together, create a balance and sonority rarely found in a combined choir and orchestra. Besides presenting the traditional and revered repertoire of the past, the group provides audiences with the finest contemporary works and regularly commissions new music. The musicians perform out of their love for great music and a genuine desire to enrich the lives of their listeners.
Utah Chamber Artists has had a long and valued history with the Cathedral of the Madeleine, and the Madeleine Festival is proud to present the Utah Chamber Artists' 2026 Collage Concert as part of this year's Festival.
The Utah Chamber Artists uniquely formatted distinctive Collage Concert has been offered at the Cathedral of the Madeleine for over 35 years. In this innovative concert experience, the UCA musicians are joined by specially selected guest soloists who perform continuously without applause, placed in various spots throughout the cathedral, and enhanced by special lighting. The Utah Chamber Artists Collage Concert is an evening of fine music, reflection, inspiration and insight. |
The music program will include world premieres of works by Chris Bradford and Andrew Maxfield; Three New Motets "in memoriam Thomas Tallis" by Steven Stucki; Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings and Choir; Jonathan Dove's Seek Him That Maketh the Seven Stars, and much more!
